Armillary Sphere

A personal project from Eric Hart’s prop class at UNCSA in 2022. I was able to find several videos explaining the individual elements of the armillary sphere which helped me translate it into found objects. The main sphere is made of an embroidery hoop, several metal hoops found in the shop, a dowel, and a foam sphere. The base is a thrifted candlestick. The pieces for the cradle that holds the sphere were cut on a Glowforge with the help of Henry Beard.
